Space Meets Splash: The Intergalactic Park Redefining Family Fun
Located in the Yuyang High-Tech Zone of Yulin City, Shanxi Province, this outdoor amusement park covers approximately 258,334 square feet. Designed as an urban micro-vacation destination, the park blends education, parent-child interaction, photo-worthy attractions, and all-season recreation.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform a public space into a destination for families year-round.
Playground Design and Facilities
Inspired by aerospace and cosmic exploration, the amusement park features seven themed zones: Space Gate, Space Central Station, UFO Encounter, Cosmic Machinery, Galaxy Planet, Colorful World, and Starry Sky Land.
The park combines non-powered playground equipment with seasonal water play attractions, making it suitable for year-round operation. Each themed zone encourages curiosity, creativity, and teamwork, helping children develop problem-solving and exploration skills through hands-on play. Parents and children can connect through shared experiences strengthening bonds while exploring together.
At the heart of the park stands a 56-foot-tall rocket tower inspired by China’s “Long March” launch vehicle. Its striking white body and blue boosters create a powerful visual centerpiece, contrasting with the nearby cartoon-style mini rocket for added charm.
The structure includes two slides of varying heights, offering challenges for children of all ages. The realistic rocket design sparks interest in aerospace technology and inspires young imaginations to reach for the stars.The UFO Encounter includes an immersive play zone that lets curious explorers enter a flying saucer through a spiral slide.
The 98-foot-long UFO-themed playground integrates multiple activities from climbing nets and balance walks to interactive puzzles, hanging ball trails, percussion instruments, and spiral slides. Every corner offers a new adventure, encouraging movement, creativity, and collaboration
