MooTon has consistently surprised us. They not only boldly proposed the creative idea of โโa "seawater water park," but they also tackled the anti-corrosion challenges one by one with professional expertise. The project was delivered to a high standard in just four months, and the water park has now become a wildly popular attraction in our city.
It's China's first seawater water park that overcame the technical challenge of seawater corrosion on play equipment. Mooton leveraged the local coastal advantages to upgrade the visitor play experience, resulting in a surge in visitors and making it a popular spot for social media check-ins. The use of seawater circulation also significantly reduced the client's subsequent operating costs.

Six zones, one connected play story
The biggest technical challenge we encountered was the strong corrosiveness of the marine environment. After in-depth communication, MooTon design and R&D team decided to adopt pultrusion molding and RTM processes. This ensures stable product quality, high strength, and corrosion resistance. In particular, the RTM closed-film vacuum process uses an air-drying gel coat on the surface, ensuring wear resistance while also preventing bubbling and fading during long-term submersion in water. However, even before all the problems were solved, MooTon's engineers raised objections during the initial trial installation. They pointed out that the fasteners of the amusement equipment, after prolonged immersion in the strong corrosive seawater, posed a risk of rusting and decay. Given the variety of fastener types and the high stress requirements, commonly used accessories in the market were insufficient. After repeated discussions and verifications by MooTon's R&D and design departments, they decided to develop SMC molding technology to maximize corrosion resistance, finally solving the corrosion problem.
